Nine-year-old: If I let you go on my bed, will you give me some of your ice cream tomorrow?

Five-year-old: Yes.

(Fast forward to next day)

Three-year-old to nine-year-old: I promise to go on your bed if you give me ice cream.

(Three-year-old to mother: What means “promise?”)
